New Release!

Seasons in Life is a companion piece to its big brother, Seasons in Leadership. It is a free download that parallels life’s seasons to the model applied to organizational seasons, exploring how what we believe impacts the seasons of life that come our way.

Your Work. Your Life. My focus.

Drucker called it mission. Chick-fil-A calls it purpose. Vistage calls it your “why”. Sinek calls it your “just cause”. Bottom line, what gets me up every day is:

Improving the lives and increasing the effectiveness of executives and the organizations they lead.

Exploring Mutual Fit:

I’ve been doing executive and organizational development long enough to know that the right fit makes all the difference! There needs to be great mutual fit or at best, we’ll do good work but leave something on the table. So let’s be purposeful and find out if I’m really the help you need.

My Promise:

A fiduciary commitment.  I will always act in your best interest, even if that’s not good for me.

A “right stuff” focus.  I will drive toward the most important issues and opportunities for the most positive outcomes.

Access.  I will bring forward proven people and resources through my network and experience.

My Mindset:

You are the hero of your story. My job is to put you in position. Your job is to own decisions and outcomes.

My Passion:

“I’m a coach.”

You know, that question we all get asked, “So, what do you do?” Some find sports analogies a bit tired and overdone but I truly believe this is my simplest and clearest answer to this question. Why? Because coaches equip, train, instruct, develop, plan, strategize, advise, challenge, inspire… and ultimately, the player takes the field and has to perform to win. Coaches are in the background. Players do the work. That’s true in business as well as sports. So while it may take different forms, yeah, I’m a coach.
